Welcome to the beta version of the new Women & Golf website. Our web monkeys are still hard at work and welcome your feedback.
Established in 1924 under the supervision of J H Taylor and K G Hawtree, the then Farmland was transformed into a golf course that has matured over the years into one of the finest in Sussex. This year the Club is celebrating its centenary year and look forward to its next 100 years.
The course and clubhouse building have evolved to boast a challenging 18-hole parkland course with mature woodland, and a large clubhouse, a far cry from the roofed cow lodge that was the site of the first clubhouse buildings when it was still farmland.
Highwoods is a beautiful course tucked away in the East Sussex countryside. Only 2 miles from the coast at Bexhill-on-Sea.

Par 72 off the red tees but only 2 par 5s, but par 4s are not easy. Ample fairway, lots of dangerous bunkers. Greens were in superb condition but not easy to read.
A really enjoyable tough course. The signature 14th hole has new bridges (echoing the Swilcan Bridge).
There's a large clubhouse with ample facilities and the Pro Shop had an extensive range of ladies clothing.
