Donnington Valley Golf Club is one of the most challenging golf courses in Berkshire - a challenging 5,430 yards, 18 hole, par 71 from the red tees.
Although some of the holes are quite forgiving the closing four holes are regarded as one of the toughest finishes in the country, with water featuring prominently on 15th, 16th and 17th holes.
Great place to stay and play with hotel and spa onsite.
Donnington Valley Hotel and Spa - this course is a hidden gem.
The front nine lures you into a gentle start, then the back nine is so different, narrow in places, up and down hills and blind shots, plus a lake and pond on two par 3's. Par 3 - 9th is overlooked by the clubhouse bar - watched by everyone resting. Buggies are available.
We had a wonderful two day Ladies Trip and the hotel was excellent and food. Well worth visiting and playing the course.
