Welcome to the beta version of the new Women & Golf website. Our web monkeys are still hard at work and welcome your feedback.
Set in the grounds of Addington Palace, the previous home of Archbishops of Canterbury, we boast consistently well-manicured greens throughout the year. The course provides an interesting challenge for high and low handicap golfers alike.
Many holes provide beautiful vistas of the palace. The course features significant elevation changes throughout, with the undulating fairways mirroring the natural contours of the terrain. Both length and precision are crucial to tackle some lengthy par-3's and 4's.
Ensure you've practiced your short game including putting, as your approach shots will encounter swift greens.

Played at the Addington Palace last weekend under a clear blue sky with winter very much in evidence. The course is a delight to play - meandering around Addington Palace and the Shirley Hills, it is a mix of tree-lined fairways, dogleg holes and narrow fairways. Unfortunately at the moment there are 5 temporary greens but this didn't impact our game particularly. I didn't have time to visit the Pro Shop but had a drink in the welcoming bar afterwards. The ladies changing room is spacious and equipped with showers. Be warned there are no on-course toilets but by next summer the holes will have changed around and the 18th will become the 9th so you will be able to pop in for a pitstop. Looking forward to revisiting in the summer months.
Favourite holes: 3rd, 4th, 7th, 12th, 14th, 15th & 16th.
