The world’s biggest electric trolley brand has released a trio of hands-free models – from a feature-packed GPS flagship to an affordable entry point. Here’s what you need to know.
Motocaddy has announced three new remote-control electric trolleys for 2026: the M7 GPS REMOTE, the M7 REMOTE and the ME REMOTE. All three let you walk the course hands-free – no pushing, no steering – and each sits at a different price point depending on how many bells and whistles you want.
Remote-control trolleys have become increasingly popular with UK and Irish golfers. Motocaddy says its remote sales grew by 44% last year, with nearly half of all its electric trolley sales now coming from remote models.
M7 GPS REMOTE – The Top-of-the-Range Option – RRP: £1,499.99
This is the flagship model – the most advanced trolley in Motocaddy’s range. It combines full remote control with built-in GPS, so you get course information displayed directly on the trolley handle via a 3.5-inch touchscreen.
The GPS comes pre-loaded with over 40,000 courses worldwide and shows you a map of each hole as you play, including distances to the front, middle and back of the green, plus hazard information. You can view the course in 2D or 3D, switch between portrait and landscape, and even watch a 3D flyover of each hole. New for 2026, you can customise shortcuts to the features you use most.
Other useful extras include smartphone notifications via Bluetooth (so you don’t need to fish your phone out of your bag), a clock, round timer and lost-ball timer, plus Wi-Fi so the trolley updates its own software and course maps automatically.
Key features at a glance:
• Built-in GPS with 3.5-inch touchscreen and 40,000+ courses
• 2D and 3D hole mapping with green view and hazard details
• Customisable shortcuts to your most-used features
• Bluetooth smartphone notifications
• Wi-Fi for automatic software and course updates
• Cable-free ULTRA Lithium battery with pop-up charging port
• Can switch between remote and handle-push modes
• Downhill speed control and terrain-adapting stability technology
M7 REMOTE – The Mid-Range Pick – RRP: £1,299.99
If you want reliable remote control without the built-in GPS, the M7 REMOTE is the middle option. It gives you all the same hands-free convenience – forward, left, right, reverse, pause and emergency stop – with a range of over 100 metres.
The trolley has a new wider 2.8-inch screen that shows drive distance, round distance and lifetime distance, along with a clock and round timer. There’s also a new PIN code security lock feature called Cartlock, and a USB port under the handle to charge your phone or GPS watch while you play.
Like the GPS model, it folds down compactly for the car boot, comes with the cable-free Lithium battery, and includes downhill speed control and terrain stability technology.
Key features at a glance:
• Full 360° remote navigation with 100m+ range
• New 2.8-inch widescreen display
• Distance tracking (drive, round and lifetime)
• Cartlock PIN code security
• USB charging port for devices
• Cable-free ULTRA Lithium battery
• Dual front wheels for better manoeuvrability
• Downhill speed control and terrain stability
ME REMOTE – The Affordable Entry Point – RRP: £1,099.99
New for 2026, the ME REMOTE is designed for golfers who want to try remote control without the premium price tag. It’s the most straightforward of the three – no GPS screen, no distance tracking – but it still gives you proper hands-free control with forward, left, right and reverse navigation and a range of over 100 metres.
It now comes with the same cable-free battery system as the pricier models, which is a notable upgrade. The battery clicks in without any cables and automatically powers off when you fold the trolley – a small but genuinely useful touch. It also includes the same downhill speed control and terrain stability features as the other two models.
This model comes with a 24-month trolley warranty, which is longer than the standard offering.
Key features at a glance:
• Forward, left, right and reverse remote control with 100m+ range
• Cable-free click-in Lithium battery (new for this model)
• Auto power-off when folded
• Downhill speed control and terrain stability
• Twin rotating front wheels
• USB-C rechargeable handset
• Retractable rear anti-tip wheel
• Extended 24-month warranty
What All Three Models Share
Across the range, every trolley includes two technologies worth understanding. Downhill Control automatically slows the trolley on slopes, so it won’t run away from you on a downhill stretch. Adaptive Terrain Stability monitors the wheels and adjusts motor power to keep the trolley tracking straight, even on uneven ground.
All three also fold down for storage and transport, use a cable-free Lithium battery, and come with a USB-C rechargeable remote handset.
Which One Should You Choose?
If you already use a separate GPS device or watch and just want excellent remote control, the M7 REMOTE at £1,299.99 is the sweet spot. If you want everything in one – GPS mapping, distance info, smartphone alerts – built into the trolley itself, the M7 GPS REMOTE at £1,499.99 is the top pick. And if you’re curious about going hands-free but don’t want to spend £1,300+, the ME REMOTE at £1,099.99 is a solid way in.
