Melanie-Jane Luiten co-designs limited-edition model blending fashion-forward design with all-day comfort
Luxury golf fashion brand Duca del Cosma has teamed up once again with Melanie-Jane Luiten, wife of Dutch golf pro Joost Luiten, to release a bold new limited-edition women’s golf shoe — the GIORDANA MJ. This latest collaboration marks Melanie-Jane’s third design with the brand and brings a distinctive twist to traditional golf footwear with a sleek denim look.
A Stylish Step Off the Beaten Fairway
The GIORDANA MJ blends premium white Nappa leather with denim accents on the heel and tongue, accented by light blue detailing. The look is inspired by the rise of more relaxed, youth-driven golf fashion, offering an alternative to the sport’s more conservative styles. It’s a shoe made for golfers looking to stand out — on the course and beyond.
Melanie-Jane, who co-manages The Dunes golf course in Zandvoort and frequently travels the Tour circuit with her husband and young son, Dex, emphasized comfort as a priority in the design process.
“Leading a busy lifestyle requires a super comfortable shoe, so I placed a huge focus on this,” she said. “The blue details are a nod to Dex, and the denim makes it easy to style with both golf and casual outfits. I’m excited to see it on the course — but golfers will have to act quickly, as it’s very limited.”
Performance Meets Everyday Wear
Beneath the fashion-forward exterior, the GIORDANA MJ is crafted for performance. It features a breathable ARNEFLEX® memory foam insole with recycled cork for comfort, and Duca’s Airplay 8 outsole with strategically placed nubs for traction and stability during play. It’s designed to transition effortlessly from the fairway to daily life.
The shoe is available in European sizes 36 to 42 and is priced at €179, while supplies last. More details are available at Duca del Cosma’s website.
More Than a Shoe Designer
Beyond footwear, Melanie-Jane recently helped launch LowCal Drinks with her husband Joost, inspired by the Dutch golf beverage Gele Peter. She’s also active in youth golf development through the Joost Luiten Foundation
