World No.1 Nelly Korda leads a stacked Dundonald Links field as the LPGA’s key AIG Women’s Open warm-up returns to Ayrshire.
Seven of the world’s top 10 players will tee it up at Dundonald Links for the 2026 ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open, which runs from 23 to 26 July.
Nelly Korda heads a field that also includes Hyo Joo Kim, Lottie Woad, Charley Hull, Miyu Yamashita, Hannah Green and Sei Young Kim. Between them, the confirmed top 10 players have won 56 LPGA Tour titles and eight majors
Major preparation
Reigning AIG Women’s Open champion Yamashita returns for her second appearance at Dundonald Links, having finished T10 there last year before winning at Royal Porthcawl the following week. Each of the last five AIG Women’s Open champions played the Scottish Open in the week before their major win.
Yamashita said: “Last year was a great experience and the players were so well looked after. It proved to be the perfect preparation ahead of the AIG Women’s Open, so I’m excited to use it in the same way again before I defend my title next month.”
Hyo Joo Kim arrives on the back of back-to-back LPGA wins at the Fortinet Founders Cup and the Ford Championship, edging out Korda both times. Hannah Green has won four times worldwide since early March.
Fifth year at Dundonald
This is the fifth consecutive year the tournament has been staged at the Ayrshire venue, and it remains the only LPGA Tour event held in Scotland. Last year’s edition drew a record crowd of more than 11,000 across the week. The Scottish Government and VisitScotland have agreed a new three-year funding deal for the event, running through to 2028.
