A modular system designed to keep pace with developing golfers promises to end the cycle of repeated kit purchases — and it’s built to perform, not just fit.
A new junior golf system has launched in the UK that tackles one of the most common frustrations in youth golf: equipment that’s outgrown almost as soon as it’s bought.
UpSwing Golf’s Grow Like a Pro system is built around a patented modular platform that extends as the child grows — replacing shafts rather than replacing clubs. The hosel adaptor and weighting system also adjusts as the junior develops, shifting mass from heel to toe to support improving swing mechanics over time.
The range was developed by Justin Giles, who came up with the concept after struggling to find suitable equipment for his own son, and Kevin Mayoux, a club design engineer whose work has contributed to more than 20 tour wins worldwide. The aim was to close the gap between entry-level junior sets and genuine performance equipment, using UST Mamiya graphite shafts and tour-specification materials and finishes throughout.
What’s in the range
Three configurations are available at launch:
- 4-club junior set (£449)
- 7-club junior varsity set (£649)
- 11-club varsity set (£899).
Shaft upgrades and upgrade kits are available between sizes.

The price points position UpSwing firmly at the premium end of the junior market — but the modular design means parents are buying a system that adapts rather than a set that’s obsolete in 18 months.
For parents or grandparents buying for a junior, the sets are sized by height rather than age — UpSwing recommends measuring the child standing naturally and matching to the appropriate configuration, rather than defaulting to an age guide that may not reflect their actual build or stage of development.
