Prince’s Golf Club in Sandwich Bay, Kent, has been recognised as England: Golf Course of the Year at the 2025 Golf Course Awards. The accolade highlights the club’s ongoing commitment to preserving authentic links golf and supporting a vibrant golfing community.
Championship Golf with Heritage
One of England’s oldest links courses, Prince’s Golf Club boasts a rich history, including hosting the 1932 Open Championship and, more recently, serving as a venue for final Open Qualifying and the Amateur Championship. The club’s 27 holes and central clubhouse welcome daily visitors, including fourballs, groups, and society bookings.
Prince’s is set to further boost its reputation by hosting the 53rd Walker Cup in 2030, adding to its long-standing legacy in women’s and men’s competitions.
Club Investments and Facilities
Prince’s is investing in the future by restoring natural sand features, extending fairways, updating the clubhouse, and adding a putting studio alongside new Toptracer driving range technology. The Lodge at Prince’s, with 38 en-suite bedrooms overlooking Sandwich Bay and Royal St. George’s, is also being upgraded.

Supporting Women and Junior Golf
Community initiatives are central to Prince’s ethos. The club has helped found a Women in Golf Society, co-led by Ali McGuirk, to encourage female participation and foster a supportive network for women at all levels of the game. The Prince’s Junior Foundation provides coaching and opportunities for young golfers, supporting the sport’s next generation.
Commitment to Growth and Community
Prince’s supports tour professionals including Rebecca Earl and maintains close links with local charities and partners, showcasing its dedication to growing the game and giving back.
With a mix of tradition, investment, and inclusive programmes, Prince’s Golf Club continues to shape the future of English golf. To find out more, visit www.princesgolfclub.co.uk.
