Award-winning golf, sumptuous food and wines, cocktails and olive oil are all included in the latest luxury golf and gastronomy packages on offer this summer and autumn at Verdura Resort, a European Tour Destination and host venue of the 2017 Rocco Forte Open – Verdura.

Spain’s Álvaro Quirós described the golf courses as “paradise” on his way to victory at the exclusive Sicilian resort, and guests can enjoy the same outstanding facilities over the next three months with the new four-night breaks, which start from €411 per person per night.

Serving up a mixture of sunny skies, a temperate climate and breathtaking scenery combined with a plethora of historical, cultural and gastronomic delights, Sicily has all the ingredients for a relaxing break, and Verdura Resort is the ideal base to discover this authentic part of the Mediterranean’s largest island.

The packages include accommodation in a junior suite, with daily American-style buffet breakfast; private airport transfers and two green fees per person (including buggies) on a choice of the resort’s two world-class 18-hole championship golf courses - the East and West.

In addition, two sumptuous three-course dinners; a Verdura Resort polo shirt; a Planeta wine experience at Sicily’s most distinguished winery – featuring wine tour, tasting and lunch; Verdura Società Agricola olive oil; a ‘molecular mixology’ cocktail tasting; and welcome fruit basket and sparkling wine in room are also included. Packages are subject to availability and terms and conditions apply.

Nestling on the coast in 230 hectares of stunning landscape, and warmed by the Mediterranean sun and refreshed by the sea breeze, Verdura Resort – a member of the exclusive European Tour Properties network and named by Golf Digest as a recipient of an ‘Editors’ Choice Award for Best International Resorts’ in 2016 and 2017 – provides golf on a grand scale.

Designed by Kyle Philips, the resort’s golf courses offer uninterrupted views of the azure waters from the undulating greens. The award-winning resort includes two 18-hole championship courses, a nine-hole, par-three layout and extensive practice facilities including a double-ended driving range and outstanding academy.
