The four star hotel, provides the backdrop for twelve of the course’s fairways, six of which also overlook the Riverside Cricket Ground with fells and hills beyond.
Chester-le-Street, founded in 1908 with an initial layout of nine holes - the parkland and forestry course has been extended over the the years with most of the fairways running in opposing north to south directions.
Choose to stay in a double or twin room, either in Lumley Castle itself or in one of its Courtyard Rooms, formerly the castle’s stables.
