La Cala resort on the Costa del Sol, Spain has announced that it will be opening its hotel and health spa on June 15.

It's a safe bet that, like us, you're itching to book your next golfing holiday abroad. But the good news is that resorts across the globe are starting to open back up again.

La Cala Resort is one of the most popular spots for a few rounds in the sun on the Costa del Sol, and in fact the four-star hotel was named the best in Europe at the 2019 Europe Hotel Awards.

So we're super excited to hear that the venue has announced plans to reopen on June 15, and it is taking bookings for the summer season now.

Home to a luxurious hydrotherapy spa and three courses designed by renowned architect Cabell B. Robinson, La Cala Resort General Manager Sean Corte-Real said:

“We are extremely excited to lead the way in reopening as tourism returns to Spain’s golf coast.

“At La Cala we are blessed to have so much wide open space – three championship golf courses spread over 400 hectares.

“With Andalucía one of the least affected regions in Europe, and as international travel returns, I am confident that La Cala will be seen as a safe haven where golfers and holiday makers can enjoy the resort again, away from the hustle and bustle elsewhere on the Costa del Sol.”

To mark the planned reopening, La Cala has unveiled a new promotional video in collaboration with former European Tour Pro Gary Murphy, showcasing the best of the resort.

We've already got our suncream packed for when we're given the all clear.
