It may be more than two years away, but a taste of the 2018 Ryder Cup near Paris could be something for amateur golfers to experience for themselves this summer.
For 2016, Brittany Ferries has added Le Golf National and a selection of top courses and stunning hotels around the Ile-de-France, to its popular golf break menu.
Golf packages, which generally include three or four nights away, include ferry sailings, hotels and negotiated course fees. All arrangements are made via the dedicated golf desk for participants. As well as recommended itineraries, the experienced team can put together bespoke packages for those who wish to go a little off-menu with experts able to provide advice and assistance for individuals or groups.
“While September’s Ryder Cup focus will turn to Minnesota, it won’t be long before the global golfing spotlight shines on France,” said Graham Ruth Brittany Ferries director of golf.
“We’ve worked hard this year to introduce a series of packages around Paris, conveniently accessed by our ferry services to Caen and Le Havre. Le Golf National is probably the jewel in the crown and we are delighted to give our guests the chance to experience a taste of Ryder Cup 2018 for themselves.”
As well as the new packages, Brittany Ferries continues to offer a wide selection of suggested golf breaks at courses throughout Brittany, Normandy, the Loire and other regions of France, as well as golf breaks to Northern Spain. With sailings from Portsmouth, Poole and Plymouth to five ports of arrival in France and to Bilbao and Santander in Northern Spain, there’s more time to relax with a cabin and fine food on board, enjoy the golf on arrival and spend less time at the wheel driving to courses.
