The Italian region of Veneto, IAGTO’s Undiscovered Golf Destination of the Year in 2013, features 43 golf courses which enjoy breathtaking views and spectacular landscapes.

Located in an area stretching from the Dolomites to the sea, from Venice to Vicenza, and from Lake Garda to the Abano and Montegrotto hot springs, the region offers a wonderful opportunity to combine great golf with culture, history and heavenly food and wine.

Golf in Veneto features four individual golf districts: Venice Garden (Venice and Treviso); Veneto Hills and Spa (Terme Euganee and Padua); Verona and Lake Garda; and the Dolomites and Veneto Mountains.

Venice Garden

Arnold Palmer, John Harris and Stan Eby are among the golf architects to have designed some of the most impressive courses in the Venice Garden.

Situated on the outskirts of Treviso and seven miles from Venice, Golf Villa Condulmer offers exceptional golf in a beautiful setting, with its 18th century villa providing a magnificent backdrop, while the Palmer-designed layout at Golf Ca’della Nave and the three nine-hole loops at Asolo are also well worth a visit.

Veneto Hills and Spa

Just a few kilometers from Padua is Golf Club della Montecchia. Situated in the grounds of an old country estate the course has played host to both Challenge Tour and Alp Tour events.

Meanwhile Veneto Hills Golf & Spa offers visitors a series of jaw-dropping views, landscapes and panoramas which change colour and aroma in the space of a few kilometres. Regularly rated among the best courses in Italy, Golf Club Padova has hosted a number of prestigious Italian championships in the last 20 years, while its beautifully-designed clubhouse offers the perfect place to relax after a round.

Verona and Lake Garda

Known worldwide as the setting for Shakespeare’s tragedy Romeo and Juliet, Verona is one of the most significant historic cities of Italy. What is striking about Verona is the extraordinary wealth of its art, history and culture, from the Roman remains with the Arena to Celtic, Medieval and Renaissance masterpieces of unrivalled beauty.

Verona Golf Club’s attractive tree-lined course is a good test for all golfers, and also provided the platform for Matteo Manassero to launch his international career.

Dolomites and Veneto Mountains

The north of Veneto boasts a breathtaking natural wonder: the Dolomites, a paradise all-year long. Cortina, nicknamed the Queen of the Dolomites, offers perfect views of snowy peaks that turn pink at sunset.
