Luxury golf resort Quinta Do Lago, located in the Algarve, Portugal, has launched an online golf academy.
The scheme was initially created to help residents and members continue to practice during the COVID-19 pandemic but it has been extended to become a permenant addition.
It's designed to allow golfers to work on perfecting their game under the care of the expert team from the comfort of their homes, whereever they happen to be in the world.
The online coaching platform is suitable for all ages and abilities, offering tailored one-to-one tuition, monthly programmes and expert swing analysis from the venue's professional coaches.
Jose Ferreira, director of golf coaching at Quinta do Lago, said:
“The beauty of the new online coaching service is that it allows players to train, whenever they want and wherever they are in the world.
“Online coaching is perfect for those people who are not able to visit us in person. The sessions are tailored to each player’s personal goals and equipment and no two sessions are the same while, to help a golfer’s long-term development, we will design a training plan that will support them on an on-going basis.”
While we're unable visit the fantastic resort in person, these online experiences sound like the next best thing.
Quinta Do Lago features three 18-hole championship golf courses (the North, South and Laranjal), extensive practice facilities, 12 first-class bars and restaurants and boutique accommodation options in The Magnolia Hotel.
It's certainly on the top of our bucket list for when we're allowed to travel again.
