Your Golf Travel have launched a new Ladies Matchplay Knockout event sponsored by the Algarve Tourism Bureau. Win a trip to the Algarve and play with Darren Clarke in the Portugal Masters Pro-Am!
This event will see hundreds of UK ladies challenge for the title which will commence on June 1st, with entries for the tournament closing on Thursday 28 May.
The Algarve Tourism Bureau has been confirmed as the title sponsor of The Algarve Ladies Matchplay Knockout: “We are thrilled to be the Ladies Matchplay Knockout 2015 Official Sponsor. The event will be an important part of our ‘golf4all’ project, which seeks to showcase the Algarve as a fully-inclusive tourism attraction for golfers of all ages and abilities.”
The event is being launched following the success of previous knockout events organised by Your Golf Travel, and will provide lady golfers across the UK with a chance to travel to the Algarve and win a money-can’t-buy golf prize.
Open to all lady golfers in the UK, with a CONGU handicap of 30 or less - compete in a pairs matchplay tournament, with the grand prize including a round of golf with former Open Champion and Your Golf Travel Ambassador Darren Clarke in the Portugal Masters Pro-Am.
Initial knockout rounds will take place at local UK golf clubs, with regional finals being held in September (exact date TBC). Following the regional finals, four successful pairs will be flown to the Algarve to compete in the grand finals from Sunday 11 October – Friday 16 October. The eventual winners of the tournament will then play in the Portugal Masters Pro Am on Wednesday 14 October.

Partners for the event include International Sports Management, Cleveland Srixon Golf and VPAR, who will power the Regional Finals, providing live scoring throughout.
Entry costs just £50 per pair and all entrants into the competition will receive a £50 Your Golf Travel Voucher, as well as a pack of Srixon AD333 Tour golf balls.
