Following on from its inaugural success, when thousands of women and girls (spanning 28 countries at more than 485 locations) took part, the worldwide event is returning on Tuesday 6 June.
Founded by Elisa Gaudet, CEO of Executive Golf International, the initiative was created with a specific mission in mind— introducing women and girls to the game of golf in a fun and inclusive way.
Women & Golf is delighted to be the UK media partner for the global initiative, which will see golf courses, clubs, driving ranges, practice facilities and retailers welcome women to the game.
The gathering will include a two-hour golf lesson or a 9-hole round of golf, plus a two-hour networking experience where attendees socialise and can learn more about upcoming golf clinics and classes.
Stoke Park Country Club, Spa & Hotel, in Buckinghamshire, were among the clubs that last year threw themselves into the worldwide celebration of female golf. The event at the Buckinghamshire venue helped almost 30 ladies take their first steps in the sport, and also featured an appearance from Ladies European Tour star Annabel Dimmock.
Stoke Park was one of five UK venues to participate in the event - all of them in the home counties – each of which offered ladies the chance of a free introduction into the sport.
This year is hoping to be even more powerful, with the movement looking to expand to courses across the country.
