The gym, football matches, nightclubs and travelling - here's what the players are most looking forward to once this strange period is over.

As the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted across the country, life is slowly returning to some kind of normal.

Now, of course we are so incredibly grateful to have golf back.

But outside of our favourite hobby there are other things we have missed too, and the same goes for the stars of the game.

So, we decided to ask the players:

“What’s the thing you have missed most during lockdown?”

For us, it’s probably going out for a drink somewhere other than our back garden, but here’s what the professionals had to say...

Nicola Bennett:

"I’ve missed the gym the most. I normally go about four times a week and I really enjoy doing spinning classes and I do quite a bit of weight lifting and I just haven’t been able to do it at home which is frustrating me a little bit. I have been doing stuff at home but there’s only so much you can do at with your own body weight so I am really, really looking forward to going back to the gym.”

Annabel Dimmock:

“It’s been such a weird time. I miss normal life - being able to go down the pub after practice and in my off season I love going out clubbing at the weekends with my girlfriends and I miss that a bit. I miss being in a group with friends rather than just one on one on a walk.

“It’s great that golf is back and I have been working really hard but I’m missing my life outside of that. But at least we have golf because at one point we didn’t even have that and I was going crazy.”

Alice Hewson:

“I miss travelling, we had a really exciting schedule planned on the LET this year and with it being my rookie season I was so desperate to get out there and have some fun. I’m desperate to start travelling again and for it to be back up and running, even if it’s later than planned.”

Meghan MacLaren:

“Going to a football match. Obviously, we have football back now but the empty stadiums are weird and hard to process. I’m a massive Newcastle fan so going to St James’ Park is such a buzz for me so I’ll enjoy that so much when I can do it again.”

Fingers crossed it won't be long before they can do all of the above sometime soon.

We'll be the first to reserve ourselves a spot on the clubhouse terrace.
