Watch as PGA Tour Star Rickie Fowler scores an ace at a fundraiser for Ernie Els' charity, Els for Autism, to raise a million dollars for the foundation.
Rickie Fowler has hit the headlines yet again. Earlier this week the American holed out from 113-yards at a fundraiser for Ernie Els' charity, Els for Autism, to raise a million dollars for the foundation.
According to Fowler, he was unaware there was a par-3 bonus hole after the charity pro-am at Old Palm Golf Club had ended and having already packed his clubs away, played the shot with a wedge borrowed from Luke Donald.
The money raised will go towards Els for Autism, a charity formed in 2009 by major winner Ernie Els after his son Ben was diagnosed with the condition.
Johann Rupert, a South African billionaire and friend of Els, saw Fowler's performance and decided to match the $1 million donation. With Fowler's hole-in-one coupled with $800,000 raised through the event, enough was raised to build a new autism facility in Florida.
