Most women hit the ball pretty straight, but it’s useful to have shaped shots in your bag as when the odds are against you, they may help you to save par.
- It’s a simple concept. Pick a spot just in front of the ball that is in line with your target, then take your stance and aim your feet and shoulders where you want the ball to begin its flight. Therefore, aiming left of the target (as pictured above).
- Place the club behind the ball with the clubface (open), aiming in the direction of the target.
- Swing along your body and feet alignment - out to in. It will feel like you are cutting across the ball. With the clubface aiming at the target, you will see the ball curve towards it.
