Funniest Moment
We can't help having a chuckle at the expense of this poor fan who found the hazard at the Gary Player Country Club during the Nedbank Golf Challenge.
Standout Style
Russian LET player Maria Verchenova won our fashion stakes this year with some standout style at the Olympic Games. Verchenova, who recorded on ace during the event, may have finished T-16 but if the players were ranked by style alone she'd undoubtedly be atop the podium.
Best Moment
Golf made its return to the Olympics after a 100-year hiatus and while it wasn’t embraced by all within the golfing fraternity, the best female players had a blast. South Korea’s Inbee Park would come back from an extended break with injury to win gold, while World No. 1 Lydia Ko would capture silver.
Best Shot
Na Yeon Choi was in a tough spot at the LOTTE Championship but she used a little trickery to walk away with par.
Moment To Remember
The obnoxious American Ryder Cup fans may be something we'd rather forget but this moment of magic from an overzealous heckler certainly isn't.
Favourite Footage
Most of us have to wait what seems a lifetime before we can add an ace to our golfing CV. Not for Becky Marsh, who scored a hole-in-one after a mere ten balls.
Best Player
Thai player Ariya Jutanugarn set the LPGA alight this year with some incredible golf, including a winning performance at the RICOH Women’s British Open. The twenty-year-old bounced back from a poor rookie season, which included ten consecutive missed cuts, to record her first win in May, which she so would follow up with back-to-back victories. She would go on to top the year’s standings, outplaying Lydia Ko to win the Race To The CME Globe.
