Jay Bothroyd and Trey Niven from OuttaBoundz join students from London Academy of Excellence Tottenham for Unleash Your Drive event.
The “Unleash Your Drive’’ event, in partnership with The Golf Foundation and organised by Greenspace, saw the pair sharing their experiences of the sport, both as participants and in their professional capacities.
The event was hosted by Sky Sports’ Richard Kaufman, with Sixth Form students from LAET enjoying an intimate audience with the OuttaBoundz pair. With Jay Bothroyd discussing his transition from an England-capped footballer to golf creator, and Trey sharing his journey from amateur golfer, to PGA Professional, to TV Presenter, the students were given the opportunity to see first-hand how the sport has helped create unique careers within golf.
Maayane Ben Ari, Co-curricular & Enrichment Activity Coordinator at LAET, expressed her gratitude to Jay, Trey, and the organisers for their invaluable contribution to the event: "We really appreciate you coming over here and giving the students an introduction to a sport they wouldn't normally have much access to otherwise," said Ben Ari. "The feedback from the students was incredible, and they all said they left intrigued and keen for more."
The event at the London Academy of Excellence Tottenham not only provided students with a unique opportunity to explore the world of golf but also highlighted the importance of sports in education and personal development. By collaborating with industry professionals like Jay and Trey, LAET aims to inspire and empower students to pursue their passions and unlock their full potential.

The programmes expert guidance from a world class team improved my skills on the course but also instilled in me a newfound passion for the game. I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of such a valuable and enriching programme”
