There is a three-way tie at the top heading into the final round of the Hero Women’s Indian Open. Becky Morgan, Nicole Broch Larsen and Ellie Givens share the lead on 4-under after a dramatic finish to the third round at DLF Golf and Country Club on Saturday.
Austrian Christine Wolf held a three-shot lead standing on the 18th tee on Saturday but lost it long before she reached the green after hitting her second and fifth shots into the lake running down the left side of the fairway.
Culminating in a quadruple bogey nine, the unfortunate turn of events for Wolf saw her slip to 3-under par alongside Felicity Johnson and Manon Mollé.
Still, Wolf is only one shot behind the leaders Morgan, Broch Larsen and Givens, and with just four shots separating 18 players at the top of the leaderboard, the contest is very much wide open.
Olivia Cowan, Noora Komulainen and Marianne Skarpnord currently hold a tie for 7th spot at 2-under, with the recent Lacoste Ladies Open de France champion Caroline Hedwall close behind at 1-under. After a disappointing round of 76 on Friday, Florentyna Parker from England showed some of Thursday's flair yesterday with a 1-under par 71 to work her way back up to 11th place.
