The latest Sky Sports Editions episode features Charley Hull, who talks about her career and love of fashion whilst creating her own magazine cover
Golf superstar Charley Hull is the most recent cover star of Sky Sports Editions – a new series showcasing original stories from leading women across sport, as told by the athletes themselves and crossing the worlds of sport and fashion as they design their own magazine cover.
As well as talking about her love of fashion and creating her style, the English golfer discusses being considered 'rebellious', why fitness is important and being underestimated by her male counterparts and fans.
The 28-year-old also shares a little insight into her recent ADHD diagnosis:
"I cope with things, obviously after being diagnosed with ADHD this year I kind of know my ways to cope with it now and know my routines. Sometimes I can be ‘cut offish’ and stuff, but it’s because I’m putting myself first and know my triggers and how to cope. I just do me.”

Golf fashion insights with Charley Hull
What is most important to you when choosing to work with a clothing brand?
I am very passionate about fashion, so it's important for me to work with a brand which is stylish, versatile, and looks good both on and off the course.
This year, I entered a long term partnership with Malbon Golf, and they tick all these boxes. Their ambassadors include golfers, skateboarders and entertainers, which shows how diverse their brand is and appeals to the wider community, not just in golf.
When you’re choosing an outfit to wear on the course what is your top priority and why?
My first priority is comfort, but also making sure I look good on the course. Golf fashion has changed so much in the past 10 years in a very positive way. I want the younger generation to realise you can look cool on the course, and hopefully, if I can inspire just a few young girls along the way then I’m doing it right.
Aside from comfort, I would say I always make sure I am dressed for the varying conditions. Malbon make it easy to layer up when needed, and also wear breathable clothes for the hot days on tour like during the recent Asian swing.
What’s your favourite look or outfit to wear on the golf course?
I have a few fun outfits, which usually include a skirt and matching top. I do like wearing all black, but it really depends how I feel on the day.
How much do you think your on-course style influences others?
I love hearing positive comments about my outfits, particularly from young girls so hopefully I am having a positive influence.
How did it feel to be part of Sky Sports Editions?
I felt very honoured when they approached me, and knew I wanted to be part of it. I’m so passionate about growing women’s sport and to be featured alongside the other fantastic athletes in the series, and to put the spotlight on golf is very special.
I think Sky Sports Editions is a fantastic social concept, and I hope it has a big impact amongst female sports fan.
How important to you is it to make women’s golf more visible to the wider sporting community?
I feel a sense of responsibility for growing the game not just from grassroots upwards, but also across society. I think golf as a sport is getting more popular with women and by having more spotlight on golf we can hopefully keep this trending! Sky Sports Editions certainly helps in this journey.
