The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is making history by hosting two back-to-back Ladies European Tour events.

Saudi Arabia is about to make history by hosting the first ever professional women’s golf event in the Kingdom.

Originally scheduled for March but postponed due to COVID-19, the Aramco Saudi Ladies International presented by Public Investment Fund has now been rescheduled to take place from Thursday November 12 to Sunday November 15 2020.

But that’s not all.

The Ladies European Tour is bringing a whole week of women’s golf to Royal Greens Golf Club, found close to the city of near Jeddah.

Following the one-million dollar prize fund Saudi Ladies International will be the Saudi Ladies Team International from November 17 to 19.

This is also a landmark event in women’s golf. Featuring professional and amateur golfers teaming up to try and get a cut of the a $500,000 prize-fund, more details on the format will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Aside from the Scottish Open and the AIG Women’s Open, the consecutive events will see the players compete for the biggest prize fund on the LET calendar.

These will be the third and fourth professional golf events to be held in the Kingdom in the last two years, with the men’s Saudi International played in both 2019 and 2020.

It;s also the first large-scale sporting event to be held in the country since the outbreak of COVID-19.

100 of the world’s best female golfers are expected to attend, including Golf Saudi ambassador and recent Swiss Open winner Amy Boulden.
