Carton House, Fairmont, will again host the KPMG Women's Irish Open following a record-breaking 2024 event but with a new date and an increased prize fund
Carton House, Fairmont, one of Ireland’s most iconic luxury resorts, will once again host the KPMG Women’s Irish Open in 2025. Following the success of the 2024 tournament, which saw a record-breaking 37,000 spectators gather to witness world-class golf at the Ladies European Tour (LET) event, the return of the championship promises to be even bigger and better.
The 2025 KPMG Women’s Irish Open has an earlier date and is set take place from 30th June to 6th July, 2025, on Carton House, Fairmont’s renowned O’Meara Course.
Date change and increased prize fund
The change in date to early July has been welcomed by the Ladies European Tour and many key players as the event will be held the week before a major championship (Amundi Evian Championship in France) and the hope is that this new date will see some big-name players looking to play in front of the renowned Irish crowds as they acclimatize to Europe.
In more good news, the tournament organisers have also announced an increased prize fund of €450,000 (from €400,000) which makes it the fourth highest prize fund on the LET outside of the Majors, the Aramco Team Series events and Aramco Saudi Ladies International.
This event will once again bring together the top female golfers from across the world to compete in one of the most anticipated tournaments on the LET calendar. England’s Annabel Dimmock will also return to Carton House, Fairmont, to defend her title.
A huge boost to Irish golf
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome the KPMG Women’s Irish Open back to Carton House, Fairmont,” added Martin Mangan, General Manager at Carton House.

“It was a huge boost when this fixture returned after a ten-year absence in 2022 and it has grown, with another special event earlier this year. It’s fantastic to hear the tournament is receiving further backing in 2025 and with its new place in the calendar it will look to break more records.”
Cian Branagan, CEO of ForeFront Group and Tournament Director, expressed his delight: “We are very excited to be heading back to Carton House, Fairmont, in 2025. Carton House is an exceptional venue, and we can’t wait to elevate the fan experience and showcase the world-class talent on the Ladies European Tour once again. We are also delighted to have been able to move it to an earlier date which suits the tour schedule more favourably and we expect to get a stronger field in 2025.”
