Michelle Wie will start the LPGA season with Callaway clubs, the first time in her professional career her equipment hasn’t been emblazoned with a Nike Swoosh.

Wie revealed the move ahead of the Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic, the first event of the tour’s calendar, and admitted to Golfweek that she had never even touched another branded club since she turned pro at the age of 15.

The move comes after Nike announced in August that they will be exiting the golf equipment market, although Wie will continue to wear the company’s apparel.

Among the most recognisable figures in the game, Wie will carry a Great Big Bertha Epic driver in her bag with 10.5 degrees of loft, an Epic 3-wood, a pair of Big Bertha Alpha hybrids (18 and 23 degrees) and Apex Pro 16 irons. The four-time tour winner will also use Mack Daddy Forged wedges and an Odyssey Works Versa 2-Ball Fang putter.
