Ha Na Jang carded a 4-under 69 to come from four shots back to win the ISPS HANDA Australian Open by three shots over Nanna Madsen, picking up her fourth career win on the LPGA Tour and first of the 2017 season.
After a bogey on the first hole, Jang maintained her composure and caught fire towards the end of the back nine playing her final six holes at 5-under. The eagle on the par-5 17th hole and birdie on the par-4 18th hole put Jang in prime position to win the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open.
“The feel, always the win is exciting, like really amazing, it feels like I’m third time I play Australia,” Jang on winning in Australia.
“I always get really good scores, like two years ago I finished second probably and then last year I finished third probably. It’s a really good score every year, really good mind. I just try like top 5 this week, but just try simple, it’s a really good score and now a win today right now, so exciting.”
Ha Na Jang wasn’t the only player inside the top-10 of the Rolex Rankings that made waves in the final round. Many thought No. 2 Ariya Jutanugarn would pull away after holding the lead for a bit of time Sunday - Jutanugarn would finish T3 at 6-under par.
Canada’s Brooke Henderson had an electric front nine with five birdies to shoot 32, but would play the back nine at 3-over par to finish at 2-under for the tournament in a tie for 21st.
World No. 1 Lydia Ko shot a 2-over 75 on Sunday to finish T46.

Amy Boulden, who had been hoping to claim the first Welsh win on the LPGA, struggled with the tough conditions on the final day, closing with a 76 for T21.
Scots Michele Thomson and Gemma Dryburgh, who had been in contention at the halfway stage, also faded at the weekend. Thomson carded a 75 on Sunday to finish T64, while Dryburgh's 77 put her on T66 alongside England's Charley Hull. Solheim Cup hopeful, Yorkshire's Jodi Ewart Shadoff, saw her hopes dented on Saturday after a poor 78 but rallied on the final day to finish T24.
