Englishwoman Holly Clyburn and Scot Catriona Matthew who led at the halfway stage of the Women's Australian Open, slipped down the leaderboard on day three.
Veteran Matthew, who won this tournament 20 years ago, struggled to a 73 at the Grange Golf Club but was consoled by the fact she had "not played myself out of it''. Meanwhile Clyburn imploded with a 78 and is out of contention.
Matthew is only two shots behind the three players sharing first place on 207 after 54 holes - Danielly Kang (US) 67, Jenny Shin (South Kora) 70 and Japan's Haru Nomura 70.
Home favourite Karrie Webb has positioned herself to launch at a sixth title after a blanket finish to her third round.
Webb teetered on the edge of disaster when she skulled a chip long at the 18th hole, then summoning the competitive drive that has characterised her 20-year career at the top of the women's game, she rolled the putt in to save par, and post eight-under par overall.

The favourite for the tournament must still be World Number One Lydia Ko who fresh from her win at last week's New Zealand Women's Open sits just a shot back at eight-under-par. She started with four birides before completing the next fourteen in level par, to position herself threateningly behind the leading pack.
