After months of cancelled tournaments due to COVID-19, it's been a very busy few weeks on the Ladies European Tour.

Over the last few days (September 1-19) the girls have been competing in the Lacoste Ladies Open De France at Golf Du Medoc.

Emerging as Champion was Sweden's Julia Engstrom, who shot an amazing hole-in-one during Round 2 and eventually finished -7.

It was a narrow one-shot victory ahead of home- favourite Celine Herbin and Argentinian Magdalena Simmermacher, and a number of British players were in contention throughout the tournament too.

At the end of Round 1, England's Gabs Cowley and Charlotte Thompson both shared the overnight lead at -3, and although neither topped the leaderboard at the end, the English, the top 10 was littered with familiar names from England, Scotland and Wales.

31-year-old Florentyna Parker had the best finish from the home hopes in fourth, Scotland's Kylie Henry and Charlotte Thompson were T6 and Cloe Frankish and Wales' Becky Morgan were T10.

Following a T12 finish at the Ladies Scottish Open, 34-year-old Kylie is currently feeling very happy with her game.

Speaking today she said:

“I'm really happy with my game overall; I’ve hit it quite solid especially off the tee and my putting.”

“It's great having a taste of winning and obviously that’s what I am out here to do but all you can do is keep pushing forwards with things you can improve. I feel like I’ve been really consistent this last year or so and my game is at a different level to where it has ever been. This is my 11th season full time on the LET, I love playing so I am going to play as much as I can and I love it out here.”

After a mega busy few weeks the players now have over six weeks off before the Dubai Omega Moonlight Classic from November 4 to 6.

We hope they enjoy their well deserved rest.
