The final tournament of the LET Access Series, the WPGA International Challenge, gets under way on Thursday at Stoke by Nayland Hotel Golf & Spa.

The final tournament of the LET Access Series, the WPGA International Challenge, gets under way on Thursday at Stoke by Nayland Hotel Golf & Spa, with an international field of 96 players. The tournament is set to display an exciting finish to the LET Access Series, with a €30,000 prize fund and the all-important points for the LET Access Series ranking.

Current leader Olivia Cowan will be aiming for a record four wins on LETAS this season and hoping to secure her place as the LETAS 2015 Order of Merit winner. Fellow German, Isi Gabsa will be looking to catch Olivia with another strong performance, as she lies 2282.79 points behind her fellow countrywoman.

For the remaining cards, Natalia Escuriola of Spain is in 3rd position (22972pts), Sweden’s Johanna Gustavsson in 4th (20538.33pts) followed closely by Finland’s Krista Bakker in 5th (19232.62pts). Those looking to move into the top five places with a good performance this week are Finland’s Oona Vartiainen, England’s Kym Larratt and Scotland’s Michele Thomson.

Other notable players in the field include last week’s Azores Ladies Open winner, Karolin Lampert and Sölvesborg Ladies Open champion Ariane Provot, who will both be vying for a second victory of the season.

Also looking to stamp their mark on the tournament are fourteen players from England Golf and a further 14 from the WPGA, who will be aiming to make an impression on home soil.

Play commences on Thursday 6th October at 08:00am. Spectators are welcome and entrance is free of charge.
