Anna Nordqvist, speaking as a Rolex Testimonee at The Evian Championship 2018, which Rolex has been a Partner of since 2001, the Swede has her sights set on retaining the trophy at The Evian Resort Golf Club.

The 31-year-old took home the trophy in 2017, her second major achievement after winning the LPGA Championship in 2009. Now, as we all wait for the excitement to unfold in France this weekend, we want to know, does she think she can retain the trophy for another year?

Commenting at a recent press release, Nordqvist said that she feels well prepared this year. "I’ve been preparing for the last three days and I’d love to be contending on Sunday but it’s going to require a lot of good play before then".

As a two-time major winner, Nordqvist has proved time after time that she has the game to compete at the very top, and her Evian win in last year’s weather conditions proved that she can succeed against adversaries.

"I feel like I’m a winner and coming back here I have nothing to lose".

Describing last year's win as ‘the most emotional moment of her career,’ Nordqvist continued, "once the putt fell in the middle of the hole, I think my reaction described a lot of my emotions at the time, because I’d had a challenging year and not being able to play as much as I wanted to but still working hard to come back."

"It was a very emotional moment and one that I will never forget."

"Evian will always be very special to me and when I came back here this year, I really got the sense of being very proud of the hard work I’ve put in and the challenges that I have overcome. I’m going to do my best to win it again one day, but no matter what I’m a winner every time I come here."

After the Evian Championship, Nordqvist will fly to Spain for the Estrella Damm Ladies Open. She'll then finish off the season with four events in Asia, including the International Crown and the Buick LPGA Shanghai, before going to the Tour Championship at the end of the year.

As well as major championships, Nordqvist also has her sights set on making it into the Solheim Cup team again next year. "Playing at the Solheim Cup next year is a big goal of mine...especially as it’s being played in Europe – I think it’s time we took the Cup back!"
