Annie Park ShopRite LPGA Classic

Annie Park joins a Hall of Fame list of champions including Karrie Webb, Annika Sorenstam, and Nancy Lopez after her victory at the ShopRite LPGA Classic this weekend.

First-time winner Park started the final day four shots behind Sei Young Kim but launched a determined charge in the middle of her round. One of the only players on the LPGA Tour to use a long putter, Park holed a 40-foot putt for eagle at the 9th, which she followed up with a string of birdies on the back nine, after holing 30-footers at the 11th, 13th, and 14th.

Park joins the ShopRite’s elite list of winners with a blistering final round of 63 to finish at 16-under-par and one shot ahead of Sakura Yokomine. Marina Alex was third at 14-under par, whilst Sei Young Kim finished just behind at 13-under. Tied fifth, Sandra Gal and Su Oh both had impressive closing rounds of 65 and 78 consecutively to finish at 12-under.
