Ten countries have submitted expressions of interest in hosting the 2019 Solheim Cup in Europe including England, a country that has never hosted the biennial event since it's inception in 1990.
The other interested countries are Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and Wales. Scotland hosted the event at Dalmahoy in 1992 and Loch Lomond in 2000, while St Pierre in Wales was the host venue in 1996.

A Bidding Seminar will take place on Wednesday, March 4, at the Ladies European Tour’s headquarters at Buckinghamshire Golf Club in London and it is intended that the 2019 Host will be announced towards the end of 2015 and following the playing of the 14th edition of the matches at St Leon Rot in Germany from 18-20 September.
Ivan Khodabakhsh, the Ladies European Tour’s Chief Executive said:
“With the European team’s victory at the past two editions of The Solheim Cup in Ireland and Colorado and the growth in women’s golf across the world, The Solheim Cup is developing into a unique women’s sport brand globally. We are therefore very confident of a strong host for The 2019 Solheim Cup.”
