This year it was the turn of the professionals to collect the top three prizes. Twenty-six year old Hannah Ralph, professional from Cowdray Park in West Sussex, produced two excellent rounds of 73 and 80 for a total 153 to win the Gold Cup.
Hannah has competed regularly in the event in recent years and bettered the second place she achieved in 2013. Hannah enjoys combining teaching golf to all ages at Cowdray Park with playing competitive golf when her diary permits.
Emma Goddard from Royal Liverpool was second on a count back from Rebecca McGinley , Wearside, both professionals on 154.
Leading the amateur charge was Lizzie Prior from Burhill, playing off +2 and runner-up in the recent Surrey County Championships, in fourth place on 155 (78,77). She was followed by leading amateur in the 2014 Gold Cup, Sophie Keech, also +2,from Parkstone on 156 (76,80). Inci Mehmet, +3, from Royal Mid-Surrey was on 158 (82,76) together with Charlotte Field, scratch, from Letchworth (80,78).
