Chervò ambassador Alexandra Peters, one of the brightest young talents in British women’s golf, has turned professional after a hugely successful amateur career.

Peters, 21, made her pro debut last week in the LET Access Series WPGA International Challenge at Nayland Hotel Golf & Spa, Levenheath, UK.

After comfortably making the cut with rounds of 75 and 71, Peters shot a final round 76 to finish in a tie for 25th place, in the process banking her maiden cheque in pro golf for €479.50.

An  England international since the age of 14, Peters amateur career saw her win the prestigious English Women’s Open Amateur Strokeplay Championship in 2012, in addition to being crowned the number one female amateur golfer in England in 2013.

Peters, whose golfing idol is Luke Donald, began playing golf aged just seven, at Notts Golf Club (Hollinwell), Notts. Her ambition for the next 12 months is to secure her card for the Ladies European Tour (LET), and she will compete in the LET Tour School qualifying event in the coming weeks. Beyond that, she is targeting the Top 10 of the World Rankings – and a major championship, too.

Peters said: “Chervò’s clothing is so beautifully-made and such incredible quality – it makes you feel good on the course. I’m very excited to wear it.”

Chervò's vision is the fusion of chic and technical elements, making every product exclusive in form and content. The result is a collection that guarantees superior technical performance and an unmistakably Italian elegance in all weather conditions – on the course, in the clubhouse and beyond.

Manfred Erlacher, Chervò CEO, said: “We are delighted that Alex will be wearing Chervò during her professional career. We’re proud that such a talented golfer will be wearing our clothing across Europe in the coming year. Alex is ambitious to achieve great things in the game – and with the support of Chervò, we hope to see her achieving her goals in the near future.”
