There is an Explanar training aid up for grabs for any golf club that has shown support for the Golf Foundation's Junior Passport scheme that helps to develop young golfers from the community into clubs.

The Golf Foundation is teaming up with Explanar in order to present a second, free Explanar Junior Golf Training Aid to a deserving golf club which has shown support for the Junior Golf Passport scheme.

The Junior Golf Passport helps to transfer keen new players from schools and community golf to golf club junior coaching and regular play.

This will be the second of three Explanars up for grabs in a special Golf Foundation competition, with the first having been won back in November by Etchinghill Golf Club, in Folkestone, Kent.

All golf clubs which have 10 or more children registered on the Junior Golf Passport by 1st April will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win. The winner will then be announced on the Foundation’s facebook page on 2nd April and in the July issue of the charity’s newsletter, Junior Golf Matters.

Etchinghill Golf Club’s PGA Head Professional Steve Mitchell said on winning the Explanar:

“This was a very nice surprise after we’ve enjoyed working with the Junior Golf Passport, which is a great resource for helping juniors to progress here at the club.”

The competition has certainly served to help promote the Junior Golf Passport, which is the official learning programme of the England Golf Partnership and Golf Development Wales. Clubs can register at the user-friendly interactive website, www.juniorgolfpassport.org, and their PGA Pro’s can discover coaching and business benefits through the scheme.

More than 600 golf clubs have signed up for the Passport since its launch in October 2013, with more than 700 PGA Pro’s coaching over 4,000 youngsters. This activity has been part of the Foundation’s ‘HSBC Golf Roots’ programme that has seen the creation of 2,500 new junior members for golf clubs during the last year.

A final Explanar Junior Golf Training Aid is available to be won in the Autumn of 2015. Used by some of the world's top professionals and golf coaches, Explanar has already helped thousands of golfers to improve their swings. The Explanar Golf Training Aid is a kinaesthetic golf training aid which helps to develop your muscle memory of the optimum golf swing, helping you feel what it’s like to hit the perfect shot.
