World No. 1 Nelly Korda has confirmed her first appearance at the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open, set to take place at Dundonald Links from 24–27 July. Tickets for the event go on general sale starting 10 June.
At just 26 years old, Korda brings an impressive resume to her Scottish debut. An Olympic gold medallist at Tokyo 2020, she has captured two Major championships and 13 additional LPGA titles. Korda has been a fixture on the U.S. Solheim Cup team, representing her country four times. She first claimed the top spot in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings in 2021 and has held that position steadily since March 2024.
This year has been particularly historic for Korda. She became only the third woman in LPGA Tour history to win five tournaments in a row, a streak that culminated in her second Major win at the Chevron Championship. She concluded the season with seven wins from just 16 starts and was part of the victorious U.S. Solheim Cup team for the first time.
Joining a Strong Field
Korda will tee it up alongside fellow U.S. Solheim Cup player and defending champion Lauren Coughlin. Coughlin secured a memorable win at last year’s tournament, sinking single putts on her final seven greens to finish four shots clear of a world-class field. That lineup featured five of the world’s top ten players, 18 Major champions, and 22 Solheim Cup competitors.
“I am delighted to be playing in my first ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open this year,” said Korda. “Playing in Scotland always feels extra special with it being the home of golf and with all the amazing Scottish golf fans, so I am really looking forward to making my debut in July.”
A Prestigious Venue and Continued Support
This year’s event marks the second with ISPS HANDA as title sponsor and the fourth consecutive year the tournament has been hosted at Dundonald Links. The course returned to the schedule in 2022 following a significant renovation by owners Darwin Escapes, who have transformed it into one of the UK’s leading golf resorts. Dundonald also previously hosted the event in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
The Scottish Government and VisitScotland remain key backers of the tournament, reflecting their ongoing support for women’s golf and their commitment to the 2025 ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open.
