The Ladies’ London Foursomes is a prestigious scratch event held in March for clubs within a 55 mile radius of Charing Cross station.

Played at The Berkshire Golf Club on 27-29 March, sixty-four clubs took part on the Friday morning using both the Red and Blue courses with the winners playing on the other course in the afternoon.

The Red course was used on the last two days and there were some interesting results on Saturday morning with last year's winners, Chelmsford being beaten by Walton Heath represented by Julia Brook & Jeannie Billington. Walton Heath was beaten in the quarter-finals by Frilford Heath, Kate Evans & Cara Gainer who then went on to beat Burhill, Lizzie Prior & Kirsty Robinson in the semi-finals.

In the bottom half of the draw, Worplesdon, Katie Fewster & Jo Stocks, had a very close match against Redbourn, represented by two juniors, Sophie Faulkner & Holly Hunter winning on the 20th. Worplesdon then beat Sundridge Park and in the semi-finals had a very tight match winning 1 up against Moor Park represented by Clare Partridge & Luan Skeates.

In the final Frilford Heath went quickly 3 up but Worplesdon fought back and eventually won 2 up on the 18th. Considering the weather on Sunday of high winds and driving rain in the morning, the golf was of a high standard.
