The Open is returning to Royal St George’s for the first time in almost a decade and fans who are eager to book their place at the famous Kent links can purchase tickets via the website from Monday 1 July, provided they are a member of The One Club.
The One Club is The Open’s very own membership scheme for fans who want to get even closer to golf’s original championship and guarantees priority access to tickets as well as a range of other benefits. It is free to join by registering via the website.
Johnnie Cole-Hamilton, Executive Director – Championships at The R&A, said, “We are excited about the prospect of The Open returning to Royal St George’s for the first time since 2011 and it promises to be a true festival of golf for the tens of thousands of fans expected to attend.
“We have seen record ticket sales for The Open this year and we anticipate that there will be high demand from fans wanting to attend Royal St George’s next year. All four Championship Days will be all-ticket so we are encouraging fans to take advantage of early bird prices and secure their ticket well in advance by visiting TheOpen.com.”
Fans will be able to take advantage of early season prices available for Weekly Tickets, Daily Tickets and Weekend Bundles and those using Mastercard as a means of payment will also benefit from a £5 discount per transaction.
Children under the age of 16 will continue to be able to attend The Open free of charge under the Kids Go Free initiative provided they are accompanied by an adult guardian who has secured a junior ticket in advance from the website.
Fans under the age of 25 will be able to save as much as 50% off the cost of an Adult ticket thanks to reduced price options and they will also benefit from the availability of free accommodation at The Open Camping Village.
A new range of hospitality experiences, Origins, has also been launched for The 149th Open and these packages are now on sale via the website.
