London electronic band Rudimental will return as the Saturday night headline act at the BMW PGA Championship this September with an even bigger show that is set to rock Wentworth once again.
The UK chart-toppers entertained more than 5,000 fans at Wentworth with a rousing 90-minute DJ set last May on the BMW Show Stage.
They will up the ante even further on Saturday September 21 when they bring their full stage show to the Championship Village after the conclusion of third round action in the Rolex Series event, which will feature some of the world’s leading golfers.
Tickets are available online including special afternoon session packages allowing fans to watch the golf from 1pm before enjoying the full Rudimental set.
Rudimental released their third album Toast to our Differences in January 2019, and their single These Days with Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen was their third to reach Number One on the Official UK Chart and one of six of their singles to have gone Platinum in the United Kingdom.
Rudimental’s frontman Leon Rolle, aka Locksmith, said: “Last year was a great experience for us and we can’t wait to return to Wentworth for the BMW PGA Championship, this time with the full band."
“We were expecting big things from the Wentworth crowd and last year did not disappoint - the atmosphere was fantastic – it was the perfect end to a great day of golf."
"The idea of bringing live music together with world-class sport really appeals to us and we can see why the Show Stage is such a hit.”
Jamie Birkmyre, Championship Director of the BMW PGA Championship, said: “We are delighted to announce that Rudimental will return to headline the Show Stage again."
“Their performance last year showcased the diversity of acts we have had the opportunity to watch over the last few years and this year promises to be even bigger with the full band. We cannot wait to see what the band have up their sleeves in September.”
