PUMA GOLF Staff Player Leona Maguire enjoyed a flawless final round seven under par in California for a total of twelve under for the tournament, putting her at the top of the leaderboard and into the sudden death playoff for her first maiden victory in less than a year after joining the professional ranks. 

Maguire birdied the first playoff hole to defeat Thailand’s Pajaree Anannarukarn and pick up her first professional victory in the Windsor Golf Classic in California on Sunday. 

Maguire built on rounds of 70, 69, and 65 on her way to winning the Windsor Classic in Style on Sunday in California. Her first victory as a professional since joining the professional ranks in 2018. Leona’s had a fast start to the year on the Symetra tour with two top 5 results already this year.

No stranger to winning, Maguire enjoyed a glittering amateur career before turning professional last year. She’s a two-time Player of the Year. She finished with the best scoring average (70.93) in Division 1 women’s golf history. She had a record 32 competitive rounds in the 60s. She spent 135 weeks at the top of the World Amateur Golf Rankings, which is the longest to date, beating the previous record set by Lydia Ko.
