The Prime Minister has confirmed that golf courses can reopen on December 2 when nationwide restrictions are eased.

Ahead of the debate over the petition to reopen golf courses, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has confirmed that golf will be able to reopen from next Wednesday.

Speaking virtually in the House of Commons he said: “I can therefore confirm the national restrictions in England will end on the 2nd December and they will not be renewed.

“From next Wednesday, people will be able to leave their home for any purpose and meet others in outside public spaces, subject to the Rule of Six. Collective worship, weddings and outdoor sports can resume, and shops, personal care, gyms and the wider leisure sector can reopen.”

This was further confirmed in a tweet by Craig Tracey, Craig Tracey, the chair of the All-Parliamentary Group for Golf.

Further details about tiers are still to be announced.

But either way, it's positive news that has cheered up our Monday no end!
