Golf Tourism England (GTE) unveiled what is set to be the first of a series of videos designed to capture the imagination of the golf travel trade and golf enthusiasts around the world.
Part of the Association’s strategy has been to create a series of clusters that bring together some of the nations’ finest golf experiences. The first video gives viewers a taste of things to come, with a unique portrayal of some of the country’s most stunning golf courses. The video release comes hot on the heels of GTE’s announcement as one of a number of successful projects to receive funding from the £40 million Discover England Fund. The Fund is administered by VisitEngland and will see GTE work together on a programme of activity to ensure that England stays competitive in the rapidly growing global tourism industry.
The video footage was released at the International Golf Travel Market (IGTM), an annual conference that brings together the leading golf tour operators and golf destinations. During a seminar, hosted by the GTE team, the video was shown for the first time to attendees, who gathered to find out more about the progress GTE has made with its new Visit England Partnership.
