International Women’s Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity in golf.
International Women’s Day on March 8 is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity in golf.
This year’s campaign theme is #BalanceForBetter to create awareness around forging a more gender-balanced world, celebrating women’s achievement and taking action for equality.
To celebrate this momentous day, golf is playing its part with many deals and events being launched in its honour.
Here are a couple of deals and events on W&G's radar…
Golf Travel Centre
On 8th March, Golf Travel Centre (GTC) has launched a flash deal that will give ladies groups the chance to stay and play at the Evian Resort at a discounted price with flights included in some package prices.
The host of The Evian Championship, this promotion is an exciting opportunity for those looking to practice their game at one of the five Major tournament courses on the women’s world golf tour. The resort itself boasts luxury accommodation, spa facilities as well as the ability to enjoy a number of activities against the stunning backdrop of Lake Geneva.
All bookings made to this resort on 8th March will receive a 10% discount but the first 20 bookings will receive a 20% reduction on the total price so make sure you’re quick!
Not only this but, in the run up to the day, GTC is offering a £100 voucher which can be used against any bookings across the site.
“Following our recent partnership with the Evian Resort, we are delighted to be offering this flash deal for groups of ladies,” said Patrick McCaghy, Director of Golf Travel Centre. “We want to encourage more women and girls to get into golf and hope that a stay at this incredible resort will do just that”.
Golf Travel Centre has partnered with airlines for this deal to offer customers direct return flights from major UK airports as part of some packages.
