The golf retailer is teaming up with Justin Rose and providing £35,000 in prize money for the series of women's events.

In another amazing twist, golf retailer American Golf has teamed up with Justin Rose and his wife to sponsor the Rose Ladies Series.

The company has contributed £35,000 in prize money, matching the original amount that the famous pair donated when they launched the series of women's golf tournaments.

Kicking off on June 18 at Brokenhurst Manor, the tournaments take in an incredible selection of prestigious English golf clubs including Royal St George's, Bearwood Lakes and The Buckinghamshire.

With the Ladies European Tour and LPGA not due to start again until the end of August, and another blow delivered only this week when the Evian Championship was cancelled, the Rose Ladies Series will provide vital playing opportunities for women golfers across the UK.

Justin said he is thrilled to have attracted such a brilliant title sponsor so quickly.

“I am so delighted that American Golf has decided to join forces with Kate and I in support of the women’s game,” he said.

“American Golf has always played a huge role in their support of the game, particularly in terms of encouraging more women and young players to take up the sport."

Meanwhile American Golf, who have 97 stores across the UK and Ireland, said they felt inspired to get involved when they saw the good work that the Roses were doing to support British female pros.

“American Golf is a company that prides itself on giving back to the game. Like Justin and Kate, we recognise that the world of women’s golf needs our support now more than ever and we are delighted to support the Rose Ladies Series in giving something back," said CEO of American Golf, Gary Favell
.
“We are really excited about this partnership and proud to be working alongside one of the world’s best golfers in Justin Rose. We hope this is just the beginning of a successful partnership that will not only benefit the ladies game but the sport of golf as a whole.”

But the good news doesn't stop there...

In another exciting development, one more date has been added to the series.

The Shire London is now hosting the event on July 30 with the final pushed back to August 6 to 7.

This means the updated schedule looks like this...

June 18 - Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club

June 25 - Moor Park Golf Club

July 2 - Buckinghamshire Golf Club

July 9 - Royal St George’s

July 16 - JCB Golf and Country Club

July 23 - Bearwood Lakes Golf Club

July 30 - The Shire London

August 6-7 - Final TBC

The clubs themselves also deserve a round of applause too for providing free use of the courses free.

It's makes us feel all warm inside to see such a strong support for the women's game being shown by so many across the industry.
