England Golf has announced that adidas Golf will be a headline sponsor of its 2019 Awards, taking place at the Royal Lancaster London on 21 March 2019.

Nick Pink, England Golf Chief Executive, commented: "We are thrilled to welcome adidas Golf."

"This is fantastic news and will help us to make the 2019 Awards even bigger and better - and to draw even more attention to our outstanding winners."

The England Golf Awards 2019 take place at the Royal Lancaster London on Thursday 21 March 2019. The glitzy gala dinner will celebrate all that’s great about golf in England and has become a must-attend event for everyone who cares about the sport.

adidas, a global leader in the sporting goods industry, has partnered England Golf since 2015 by supplying clothing for the national squads. Its ambassadors include European Tour star, Tyrrell Hatton, who trained with the squads and represented England in his amateur days.

Andrew Law, Managing Director adidas Golf EMEA, said: "It really is an honour to be a headline sponsor for such a special event in the England Golf calendar."

"Both adidas Golf and England Golf have a shared vision on growing the game and recognising not just the best amateur talent but also all those who work so hard for our sport across England."

"We look forward to what will be a very special evening."

The England Golf Awards set out to find the people, clubs and counties who are the true heroes of the game.

Nominations for 2019 have now closed and judging is underway. The shortlists will be announced in seven categories in January:

Most Welcoming Club of the Year, sponsored by HowDidiDo
Coach of the Year, sponsored by The PGA
Young Ambassador of the Year, in association with The Golf Foundation
Innovation Award, sponsored by Players 1st
Volunteer of the Year
County of the Year
Lifetime Service Award

Awards will also be made to recognise the Performance of the Year and the Championship Venue of the Year.

Tickets for the awards cost £90 per person and include drinks on arrival and a three-course meal with half a bottle of wine. BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker will again host the event.
