Take A Swing For Cancer Research UK

Golf for Life is giving golfers of all ages and abilities the chance to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Just by playing 18 holes of competitive golf, including breakfast, lunch and prizes, golfers around the UK can make a real difference to people who have had their lives touched by cancer.

We've partnered with 12 of the UK's best golf courses to bring golfers a full day schedule that offers both a great experience and great value for money.

Golfers simply pay £70 to play at any of the venues and obtain sponsorship from family and friends per hole that they play. We ask that they aim to collect £10 per hole to help beat cancer. Collectively, we could raise over £170,000* and fund a research nurse for more than 4 years.

Merchandise will also be on sale ahead of each event. These include golf shirts, jumpers, jackets, umbrellas and other golf accessories which will help raise further funds for this amazing charity.

Katie Hesketh, Corporate Account Manager at Cancer Research UK said, "We are extremely grateful and excited for the launch of Golf For Life and would urge as many people as possible to get behind their local golf day. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at LeisureLink Events who are supporting Cancer Research UK through Golf For Life.”

“All funds raised will go towards the charity’s research to beat over 200 types of cancer, helping to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. We are proud to be supported by Golf For Life to beat cancer.”

Cancer Research UK receives no Government funding for its ground-breaking research. So, funds raised through events like Golf For Life are crucial to the work of doctors, nurses and scientists who work day and night to fight cancer on all fronts.
