Jackson enjoyed some late success, winning the 14th and the 16th with a birdie to be two down with two to play. A half at the 17th clinched the title for Kyle has been in good form all week. She won the West of Scotland veterans' competition on Monday and is representing the Scotland Vets against the Irish seniors at Dunbar this weekend in the annual Mary McKenna Trophy match.

Donna didn't manage to achieve her 12th Championship win but she was a very worthy runner-up.

The Championship Trophy and the Peggy Clark Trophy were presented to the winners by Ralston Club Captain Graham Clark.

In the morning semi-finals Kyle beat Denise Cowan by 4 and 2 after taking a three-hole lead by the eighth tee. Jackson beat 14-year-old Jennifer Rankine by 5 and 4 after being four up after eight holes.
