Shortly after 3pm, the competition was called off, with the 54 hole totals proclaiming the winners.

In the ladies event, first year student Gemma Batty (Stirling; Formby Ladies) overcame more experienced Hannah McCook (Stirling; Grantown-on-Spey) with a final +1 total of 221, compared to +4 (224). Third was Slovenian international Nastja Banovec, one further shot back.

In the men's event a staggering 70 (-1) in the teeth of the conditions saw former English amateur finalist Henry Tomlinson (Stirling; Royal Lytham and St Annes) come from six shots back to tie for the title with 2013 Scottish Student Champion and Swiss international Mathias Eggenberger (Stirling; Bad Ragaz), whose 75 was third best score of the morning, giving a 54 hole total of 209 (-2). Both Stirling stars headed their Swiss compatriot Marco Iten and Northumbria University student Andrew Wilson, who finished the 54 holes on a total of 212 (+1). Four shots further back was Tom Beasley (St Andrews; Hunstanton) who had been unable to maintain top form from day 1 and fifth came top Scot Angus Carrick (Stirling; Douglas Park).
