The Richmond Golf Club, set in beautiful parkland, held its very first Ladies Open event at the end of May, which ended in a thrilling result for the winning pair.

The Richmond Golf Club, set in beautiful parkland and just nine miles from central London, held its very first Ladies Open event at the end of May, which ended in a thrilling result for the winning pair.

Three pairs tied on 39 points with the winners, Maggie Jackson from Royal Mid-Surrey and Jane Derville from Richmond, taking the title on countback ahead of seventeen other pairings. In second place were Joyce Willard and Eileen Sunderland from Royal Mid-Surrey, and in third place were Susan Major and Barbara O’Boyle from Roehampton.

Eight golf clubs from across Surrey and Berkshire were represented in the event which is now set to be a regular competition in the club’s calendar.

The ladies’ section at The Richmond Golf Club is a growing part of the club with a vibrant and friendly membership. The Ladies enjoy a full programme of friendly and competitive golf suitable for beginners and experienced golfers alike.
